Job Description:

We are seeking highly skilled and passionate Flight Instructors to join our team at Dayton Aviation Services (DAS). As a Flight Instructor, you will play a critical role in training aspiring pilots and helping them develop the necessary skills and knowledge to become successful aviators.

Responsibilities:

·        Conduct ground and flight training sessions for student pilots in accordance with the applicable regulations, company policies, and safety standards.

·        Assist students in developing flight plans and pre-flight inspections.

·        Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on students’ performance during flight training sessions.

·        Monitor and track students’ progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

·        Prepare students for their written and practical examinations.

·        Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and safety procedures.

·        Stay current with industry advancements, regulations, and teaching methodologies.

Requirements:

·        Hold a valid FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI/CFII).

·        Excellent knowledge of aviation theory, flight operations, and regulations.

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students.

·        Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual students.

·        Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and commitment to safety.

·        Proficiency in using flight training software and related tools.

·        Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, based on student availability.

·        Ability to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

·        Previous experience as a flight instructor.

·        Additional flight instructor ratings (MEI, AGI, IGI).

·        Knowledge of flight simulator training.

Approved hires may be required to sign a non-compete agreement. This is a 1099-NEC Independent Contractor position.
